Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This site is a recipe publication. It is built as static pages and is designed to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Nothing you type, unless you send it. There are no accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter sign-up on this site at present. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained by the host for a limited period and are not used to build a profile of you.

Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LESR11SFSQ) to count visits and see which recipes people read. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, records a truncated version of your IP address, and reports data to Google, which acts as a data processor for us. We do not use it for advertising, we have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features, and we do not attempt to identify individual readers.

You can opt out with Google’s official browser add-on, by blocking the tag in your browser or an extension, or by enabling Do Not Track in browsers that still honour it.

Cookies

Google Analytics cookies. These are the only cookies this site sets. They are first-party (_ga, _ga_*), they hold a randomly generated identifier rather than anything you have told us, and they expire after two years unless you clear them sooner.

Nothing else. Your unit preference (metric or US) is handled entirely in CSS and is not stored anywhere at all.

Third parties

The Google Analytics tag described above is the only third-party resource any page on this site loads. Everything else — images, stylesheets, scripts — is served from this domain. Google’s handling of the data it receives is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

If a page ever embeds other third-party content — a video, a map — that provider’s own privacy policy applies to that embed, and the page will say so.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK or a jurisdiction with comparable law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
